Character Information
Character Name: Sharel Anathrime
Character Pronouns: he/him
Canon: Original (Dungeons and Dragons)
Canon Age: It's a mystery! He knows, you don't! (Youngish for an Eladrin, but not too young. Also not an old man by elvin standards)
Canon Point: Right in the middle of their Waterdeep Adventures, Sharel means to go the Feywilds and is zapped into the world of Undying instead.
Canon Link: Sharel is a creature of my own making + DnD stats, so he has no wiki, alas. I am slowly but surely filling out his DnDBeyond page though here ... it's a WIP. The inventory is especially wrong.
Regardless, Sharel is an Eladrin, or a fey elf. Specifically he is a Spring Eladrin.
While they do have the ability to change their season (as well as appearance and personality), he has seldom done so in his lifetime, and never since venturing to Waterdeep. He is a bard and favors the violin, but has some skill with the lute and in woodwind instruments as well (he just heavily favors stringed instruments).
Sharel developed a lust for adventure at a relatively young age, and although he does go back home very frequently (because he can), he's been traveling outside of the Feywilds for what mortals consider a long time. He only recently ended up in Waterdeep when he met up with his adventuring friends who would quickly become near and dear to his heart. As much as one can to a fey, in any case.
His "background" is that of Far Traveler. Basically, he is fascinated about everything "new and wonderful", loves to explore, and is fascinated by strange and unusual habits and customs from the lands he visits. Though he does help out with Dylan's Bar with his friends, and is intent on solving the murder mystery they're wrapped up in, Sharel is holding onto a clue for (???) reasons, and has other priorities too that include seducing the tiefling Cleric and the nonbinary Druid in the Emerald Enclave of which he is a part (Nature is as near and dear to him as performing and magic). He also has a soft spot for Qinan who is a fellow weird-elf bard, and for teasing Merric the halfling specifically (and is ready to supply his violin if Tydal ever needs it for their romantic endeavors).
Appearance-wise Sharel is tall (but not unnaturally so) and svelte as most elves are. He has a very low strength stat, so he could do with some more muscle but isn't pressed about it as most of his kind are more athletic than muscular anyway. His skin and hair can change to reflect his mood, but his standard complexion is a rosy-ish pink in hue while his hair is a pastel pink with bits of white. His eyes are sometimes a bright mauve-ish shade and sometimes a very vibrant Spring Green, but appear to shine due to his connection with Feywilds magic. He has a small but noticeable notch (scar) in his lip and a bigger one along his cheekbone, though his icons presently do not reflect the latter as much.

"Eladrin in the spring state were joyful and playful, fond of mischief and playing pranks on other creatures. They were often oblivious to the dangers of doing so."

AU Information
AU Name: Sharel Anathrime
AU Age: 24
Physical Differences: Sharel's eyes will remain one color (green, if they must be a human color -- until they turn into that of his court, of course). His ears are rounded as humans, and he's probably not pink complexioned.
AU History: Sharel is a young man of humble means who sort of drifted in and out of his daily life until the music saved him. Discovering he had a talent for multiple facets of the musical arts, he devoted most everything he could into honing his craft. Turns out that other people enjoy his talent for it too. He formed a band and quickly gained local attentions, which spread bit by bit until his humble group was known across the lands. You could even say they rival Neck*sink (*Necksink? I can never remember) in their popularity. Maybe not that much, but his nice, swoon-worthy face (along with the band members' of course!) certainly helped. Mind you, he's only heard vague whispers about the vampire band and can the two audiences truly compare the two without ending up dinner or in all out carnage?
He was living the high life: Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Minus the drugs. Maybe alcohol instead? Either way, things are going pretty well for him, though he often wondered if a solo career or ducking out of the limelight altogether would bring him back to the core of why he loves music so much.
It's something he gets to think about whether he's ready to or not, since the band has been forced to take an indefinite hiatus. Why? Because Sharel came to the school via drawing a lot - despite a handful of Makers taking an interest in the celebrity. Internally he isn't really sure how he feels about this hand fate has dealt, but he's warming up to the fact. Namely because: the music. He's immediately going to get to know the vampire bands and what they're all about. And while he had a human thing going for him that's obviously not going to fly now that he's going to turn undead. As he ventures into full vampirehood, Sharel intends to put together another band of like-minded vampires to become a new pop sensation that truly rivals our contemporary vampire favorites. With high goals, he's sure to do as best he can in his studies.
AU Personality: His personality will remain more or less the same, though his morals will be more aligned with humanity (and then vampirism, depending on his education/mentors) than they will be with the fey. Because of this he may be more emotional. More empathetic at the very least.
Regardless, Sharel is more or less an easy going fellow who takes a neutral stance on the world around him. He does what he does because he wants to do it and not necessarily because it's considered right or wrong (just with less flippancy he would as a creature of the Feywilds). He is witty, charming, and of course musical, delighting in the chaos of life and any sort of mischief he can get up to. He can be secretive, leaving his motives in question. However, once you have his loyalty - truly have it - you've got it for good. He has a soft spot for sure, it just appears to be rather random what the criteria to hit it is. Very often it's going to be that he roots for the underdog though.
Similar to his elvin self, Sharel appreciates nature, but it is not nearly as pronounced in the AU. He won't just wander off into nature and won't be advocating to save the trees very strongly unless otherwise convinced. He is fully comfortable in his skin and perhaps has a good head start in seduction classes, though is perhaps slightly more innocent in his AU than in reality where he's trying to seduce pretty much everyone that tickles his fancy except for the Gaston-chest-hairs not-a-pirate-and-definitely-not-Qinan's-boss man. His actual personality is, admittedly, a work in progress as we go along, but I can't see things varying too wildly.
